FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –
Washington D.C. – December 9, 2019 – Flavio Italian restaurant, a less than decade old restaurant in the Georgetown strip, has served hundreds of thousands of residents, tourists and visiting celebrities, athletes, actors and more. But this year marks the beginning of a new era of commitment between this restaurant, its owners and a huge problem in the Washington D.C. area – homeless veterans and families. Washington DC has been top ten ranked in the nation with a homeless crisis. A large percentage of homeless men, women and children need the simplicity of life – food, water, company, joy and work opportunity.
With this non profit every year, the restaurant and its establishment would volunteer through the month of December, provide donations to the facility designed for rehab and reeducation of homeless individuals, and turn its restaurant locations and website into hubs for receiving donations or referring donors and supporters to the Central Union Mission. “The increased awareness of this issue and getting up to help solve it is what we are about.” says Mr Hadani Hamza, co-owner of Flavio Italian restaurant, “more restaurants and owners should make such commitments because we waste so much that we could give back to our community.”
